Starting from birth, the so-called "imperfections" like pores in casting can become an integral part of the design, an imprint of life itself. The initially smooth surface of the jewelry acquires its uniqueness with time: scratches and chips, like scars on the skin, create an inimitable pattern, each with its own story. A perfectly polished metal can darken eventually, but it is natural and there is a beauty in it: the piece "lives" on you and changes with you.
Striving for sustainability, Ydentity does not use rhodium plating, which is good for retaining the brightness and luster of metal, but the process itself is quite toxic. You can clean your jewelry if you wish, however, the visual transformation of the design creates a very different aesthetic and makes the jewelry truly yours.

YDENTITY
My name is Yuliana, I am a designer and jeweller, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Arts London, studied and worked in London. In 2020, I founded Ydentity.
Ydentity is a creative spirit free from labels like gender, age or nationality. It exists beyond time and space, and translates ideas into form. In each collection Ydentity asks questions and seeks answers through jewelry designs.
Inspired by fractals imprinted in all forms of life, Ydentity creates abstract anatomical fragments, finding similarities in flora and fauna, skeletons of ancient creatures and the human body. It features anatomy, the balance of proportions, curves, indentations and recesses, generating what feels like a familiar, sensual aesthetic, because natural lines and shapes appeal to us at a DNA level.
Ydentity jewelry was thoughtfully made as an extension of your body recreating a new anatomical silhouette. It is bold yet subtle; edgy yet flowing; provocative yet elegant; eye-catching yet meaningful. Each piece is exclusive and hand crafted especially for you.

This design is one of my favorites that I’ve ever worked on. The reincarnation of the ancient cretaceous ammonite into a sleek modern jewelry piece turns into an evocative work of art. The fractal pattern and stylistically unique concept are so well translated into the finished product.
